Thank you for taking an interest in The Children’s Academy on the Halifax. We are a preschool serving children from 6 weeks through 4 years old. Our faculty is dedicated to providing a loving and nurturing environment while ensuring our curriculum focuses on developing the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. The teachers at The Children’s Academy make each day a learning adventure where children are excited to learn and while in an environment that provides the utmost care.

Alicia Caputo has worked in elementary education for ten years. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. Since graduating in 2005, she has worked in both public and private school settings. Her teaching career includes working with elementary students in first through fifth grade. Alicia is passionate about education and strives to create a well-balanced, safe and loving learning environment. She is excited to serve as the director of The Children’s Academy on the Halifax and to work with the excellent staff to enrich the students’ early childhood experience.
Alicia and her husband, Jeffrey, have three wonderful children. The oldest, Emma is fourteen and is currently in ninth grade. James and Lucas, their twin boys, are five and are in kindergarten. Together, they enjoy playing outdoors, gardening, and sports.
